Hardwood, Laminate and Vinyl Flooring
Elegant, durable flooring solutions to elevate your interiors.
Planning & Selection:
Choose your material: Decide between real hardwood for timeless appeal or laminate for a budget-friendly, resilient alternative.
Pick a style: Select from various grains, colors, plank widths, and finishes to suit your room’s design.
Assess room needs: Consider moisture levels, foot traffic, and subfloor type when selecting the flooring.
Preparation:
Acclimate the material: Allow planks to adjust to room temperature and humidity for 48–72 hours.
Prepare the subfloor: Ensure the base is clean, dry, flat, and secure. Repair any uneven spots or damage.
Install underlayment: Lay a foam or moisture barrier for insulation, noise reduction, and a smoother installation.
Installation:
Plan the layout: Measure and plan the layout to avoid narrow planks at walls and doorways.
Start laying planks: Begin at one end, using the tongue-and-groove method to lock planks in place.
Cut as needed: Trim planks using a saw to fit around corners, vents, or doors.
Stagger seams: Offset each row of planks to create a natural, stable pattern and improve strength.
Finishing Touches:
Install trims & moldings: Add baseboards or quarter rounds to cover gaps and give a polished look.
Clean & inspect: Vacuum or sweep, then inspect the surface for gaps or loose planks.
Protect the floor: Use furniture pads and avoid heavy moisture to maintain durability and finish.
